Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive - Dispute Resolution - Somerset - 2-5 Years PQE
Location: Bridgwater (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 (DOE) + KPI linked bonus

A long established and well regarded Somerset law firm is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (2-5 years PQE) to join its Litigation team in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied caseload within a supportive, forward thinking environment offering genuine flexibility, strong development opportunities and the chance to contribute to the team's long term succession plan.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a broad and varied caseload of dispute resolution matters, including:

  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
  • Building disputes
  • Commercial repossession and rent arrears
  • Consumer rights - faulty goods and services
  • Contentious probate
  • Contract disputes
  • Judicial review
  • Professional negligence
  • TOLATA matters

You will also help build and maintain strong client relationships, raise the department's profile locally and support the continued growth of the team.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a Dispute Resolution specialist who is:

  • A Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) or Chartered Legal Executive
  • An experienced fee earner with strong technical ability across core litigation areas


You will need:

  • A solid track record of managing your own caseload
  • Strong technical knowledge of dispute resolution and civil litigation
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to manage sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively
  • A positive, solutions focused approach
  • A full driving licence for occasional travel between offices
