A well established and highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor at Senior Associate or Partner level to join its growing team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer to take the next step in their career, working autonomously while contributing to the wider development of the department across multiple offices.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and developing a varied and high quality caseload of commercial property matters, including:

  • Acquisitions and disposals
  • Commercial leases
  • Development work
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Secured lending and finance transactions
  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues
  • Building strong relationships with clients, agents, lenders and other stakeholders
  • Contributing to business development and the department's strategic growth

You will work closely with the Head of Department to expand the team's reach and reputation, while enjoying the autonomy to run and grow your own caseload.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a Commercial Property specialist who is:

  • A Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive operating at Senior Associate or Partner level
  • Experienced in handling a broad range of commercial property matters
  • Confident running a caseload independently and prioritising competing deadlines


You will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
  • A collaborative, values driven approach
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver practical, solution focused advice
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Strong IT and case management skills
