A well established and highly respected law firm with offices across Devon is seeking an ambitious Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (2+ years PQE) to join its specialist Litigation team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative, supportive and nationally recognised practice.

The Role

You'll be joining a specialist litigation team with a strong presence in its sector, working closely with experienced litigators and advocates. The team handles a wide range of contentious matters and has extensive experience across all types of court proceedings, including:

  • High Court
  • District Registries
  • County Courts
  • Tribunals

Your work will involve managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution, supporting clients at every stage of the litigation process and helping them achieve commercially focused outcomes. You will gain exposure to a broad range of disputes and benefit from working alongside senior specialists.

The team operates flexibly, with office collaboration encouraged on Mondays and Wednesdays to support team cohesion, development and knowledge sharing. Other flexible arrangements can be discussed.

Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a Litigation specialist who is:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Ideally 2+ years PQE in litigation or commercial dispute resolution
  • Experienced in managing a varied contentious caseload, including consumer related disputes


You will need:

  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively
  • A client focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Motivation, professionalism and a desire to develop your career within a successful team
