Employment Partner - Bristol

A top 20 UK law firm with a strong national presence, leading sector rankings and an impressive FTSE 250 client base is seeking an Employment Partner to lead its Bristol practice. This is a senior strategic role with real influence across a high performing national employment team.

The Role

You'll take the strategic lead for the Bristol employment offering, acting as the key external ambassador for the team while managing and growing major client relationships. The work spans the full spectrum of employment law - contentious and non contentious - including complex restructuring, employee relations, outsourcing, TUPE, and strategic workforce issues.

You'll play a central role in driving business development, strengthening the firm's national profile, and contributing to wider growth plans. Equally important is your role in developing people: coaching, mentoring and shaping the next generation of employment lawyers.

Candidate Requirements
We're looking for a senior employment specialist who brings:

  • 8+ years' PQE with a strong track record in employment law
  • Proven experience building, leading and growing a practice
  • Deep understanding of the employment market and emerging trends
  • A confident leadership style with experience developing and guiding teams
  • A recognised external profile and credibility in the employment sector
  • Experience delivering high quality service within a large national or top tier firm

Why Join?

  • A genuinely open, people first culture with a modern, collaborative feel
  • Strong commitment to wellbeing and flexible working options and support for different working patterns
  • A firm where DEI is embedded, with active networks and leadership backed initiatives
  • The chance to lead a respected team within a top 20 UK firm and influence national strategy
