Construction Solicitor - Bristol - 1-3 Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience)

A leading national law firm is seeking a Construction Solicitor (1-3 PQE) to join its highly regarded and expanding Construction team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high value, complex and nationally significant projects across a wide range of sectors including health, housing, education, regeneration and major infrastructure.

You will join a market leading non contentious construction practice, with the opportunity to develop specialist expertise while working alongside highly ranked partners and senior lawyers. Candidates with a mixed (contentious/non contentious) background who are keen to move towards non contentious work are also encouraged to apply.

The Role
You will work on a broad range of high quality matters, including:

  • Advising on construction and engineering contracts (JCT, NEC and bespoke forms)
  • Supporting major development, regeneration and capital projects
  • Drafting and negotiating appointments, warranties, bonds and related documentation
  • Advising government departments, NHS Trusts, local authorities, housing associations and private developers
  • Working on large scale national programmes including hospitals, housing schemes, education projects and infrastructure delivery
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex matters while developing your own caseload


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 1-3 years' PQE in construction (non contentious or mixed)
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a busy, high performing team
  • Interest in developing specialist expertise in non contentious construction
  • Experience coordinating advice with colleagues across other disciplines (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients
  • A proactive, commercial and solutions focused approach
