Private Client Associate - Plymouth - 5+ Years PQE
Location: Plymouth

Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (depending on experience)

A well established and forward thinking regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Associate (5+ PQE) to join its expanding team in Plymouth. This is a senior opportunity offering high quality work, leadership responsibility and the chance to contribute to the strategic growth of a respected department.

The Private Client team is known for its technical excellence, compassionate approach and strong sector expertise across Elderly Care, Trusts, Tax, Succession and Estate Planning. The firm prides itself on its supportive culture, professional development opportunities and strong community values.

The Role
As a senior Associate, you will take on a key role within the team, including:

  • Managing a complex caseload of Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs, Trusts and IHT Planning
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff
  • Contributing to team development, process improvement and best practice
  • Leading business development initiatives and building referral networks
  • Supporting the wider strategic direction and growth of the department


Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years' PQE in private client work
  • STEP membership (or working towards it) desirable
  • Strong technical knowledge across all private client areas
  • Ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision
  • Experience supervising and developing junior colleagues
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence generating new business
  • Excellent communication skills and a client focused approach
  • A collaborative, proactive and professional mindset
