A leading national law firm with a top tier reputation in the UK legal market is seeking an experienced Construction Disputes Senior Associate (8+ PQE) to join its Bristol office. This opportunity sits within a firm consistently ranked Tier 1 in Legal 500 and Band 1 in Chambers UK, renowned for its market leading construction practice, exceptional culture and commitment to high quality, complex work.

The Role
You will join a highly respected Construction & Engineering disputes team, acting on major contentious matters across sectors including energy, utilities, transport, real estate and infrastructure. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading on construction related litigation, adjudication and arbitration
  • Acting on high value disputes in the Technology and Construction Court
  • Managing adjudications, expert determinations and mediations
  • Providing strategic troubleshooting advice throughout the project lifecycle
  • Handling domestic and international arbitration matters
  • Supporting major infrastructure and energy clients on complex disputes
  • Taking a lead role in supervising junior lawyers and contributing to team development
  • Building and strengthening client relationships as part of your progression toward senior leadership

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 8+ years PQE in contentious construction disputes
  • Experience handling complex, high value and multi party matters
  • Strong understanding of adjudication, arbitration and TCC litigation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a demanding and varied caseload with confidence
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach
  • Experience supervising and developing junior colleagues
  • A track record of effective matter management and business development
  • Registration with the SRA
