A well established national law firm is seeking a Team Leader (Solicitor) with a strong interest in Employment Law and experience supervising or managing a team. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within a busy, supportive and well integrated Employment team. The firm offers genuine flexibility, a collaborative culture and clear opportunities for progression.
The firm is also open to considering candidates without prior Employment Law experience who are passionate about moving into this area. Please note that salary will be adjusted accordingly where experience is limited.
The Role
You'll be responsible for leading and supporting a team of employment fee earners while managing your own caseload of employment matters, including:
- Supervising, developing and supporting team members
- Managing a varied caseload of contentious and non contentious employment work
- Advising on Employment Tribunal claims and case strategy
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation
- Providing telephone and written advice to commercial clients
- Ensuring high quality service delivery in line with client expectations
- Contributing to team performance, workflow management and continuous improvement
- Supporting business development, legal updates and client training
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple office locations
- Reporting directly to the Group Leader (Partner)
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:
- Qualification as a Solicitor (or equivalent)
- Experience supervising or managing a team
- A genuine passion for employment law
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence in taking responsibility for cases and team strategy
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- A proactive, positive and collaborative approach
- Previous Employment Law experience is desirable but not essential
