Property Litigation Solicitor / FCILEX (0-3 PQE) - Taunton

Are you looking to join a standout South West practice with an award winning culture? This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm repeatedly recognised as one of the UK's Best Companies to Work For, with top tier rankings in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners. As a mid sized, employee owned firm with a strong people focused ethos, they continue to expand across their practice areas and are now seeking a Solicitor or FCILEX (0-3 PQE) to strengthen their Property Litigation team in Taunton.

You'll be part of a specialist group acting for social housing providers, local authorities and housing organisations. Expect high quality, meaningful work in a supportive environment, with the added benefit of enjoying the lifestyle and balance that the South West is known for.

The Role
A fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyer keen to build their expertise in property litigation, particularly within the social housing sector. Working closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers, you will handle a varied and engaging caseload, including:

  • Housing management and tenancy disputes
  • Possession, disrepair and anti social behaviour matters
  • Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal documentation
  • Court work, mediations and advisory support
  • Developing strong relationships with regional and national housing clients
  • Supporting wider team initiatives and business development activity

You'll gain early exposure to complex matters, with the right level of guidance and plenty of scope to progress.

Candidate Requirements
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors or FCILEX with 0-3 years' PQE, though those outside this range may also be considered. You will:

  • Have experience or a genuine interest in property litigation and/or social housing
  • Demonstrate strong drafting, communication and organisational skills
  • Enjoy working collaboratively within a friendly, high performing team
  • Be proactive, commercially aware and committed to delivering practical, client focused advice
  • Thrive in a culture that values ownership, community engagement and continuous development

Why Join?

  • Award winning culture and consistently recognised as a leading employer
  • High quality, varied and meaningful work for respected housing clients
  • Clear career development pathways, mentoring and ongoing training
  • Hybrid working options to support a healthy work/life balance
  • Competitive salary and benefits, including private medical insurance, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday, life assurance, wellbeing support and more
  • A fantastic South West location offering an excellent lifestyle without compromising on the calibre of work

A junior Property Litigation lawyer looking to develop their career in the South West would find this an exceptional opportunity.
