Location: Yeovil (Hybrid Working)

A well established regional law firm is seeking a Trust Tax Specialist to join its respected Private Client department in Yeovil. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on varied, interesting work within a supportive, collaborative team that values expertise, initiative and exceptional client service.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the firm's growing trust and estate administration offering, managing a diverse and busy caseload. Responsibilities include:

  • Administering trusts and distributing assets to beneficiaries in line with trust terms
  • Preparing tax returns for individuals, trustees and executors
  • Producing tax deduction certificates and annual trust accounts
  • Managing trust related tax liabilities and ensuring tax efficient outcomes
  • Handling trust registration compliance and online filing for the probate team
  • Supporting the wider Private Client team and contributing to new client relationships


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a professional with:

  • Experience in trust and estate taxation and the preparation of trust accounts
  • Strong understanding of trust administration and associated tax obligations
  • Ability to manage your own caseload with limited supervision
  • An accountancy background or broader private client experience (highly beneficial)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset and the ability to see the bigger picture
