Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Associate to join the firm's well-established Employment team in Exeter.

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of employment matters, combining both contentious and advisory work. You'll advise clients on complex workplace issues, support tribunal proceedings and work closely with businesses across a number of sectors, developing trusted relationships and acting as a key part of their employment law support network.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to undertake high-quality work while enjoying genuine client contact and strong opportunities for professional development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Advising employers on a broad range of employment law and HR-related matters
  • Managing employment tribunal cases and supporting clients through litigation
  • Delivering practical and commercially focused employment law advice
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Assisting with business development initiatives and client training programmes
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's wider national Employment team
  • Supporting clients across a variety of sectors on both strategic and day-to-day employment issues


About You

  • Qualified solicitor with experience gained within employment law
  • Strong technical knowledge covering both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Previous experience handling employment tribunal claims
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Team-oriented and able to build strong working relationships internally and externally
  • Well organised with the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
