Employment Lawyer - Associate - Cheltenham

Are you an experienced Employment Lawyer looking to take the next step in your career within a progressive and growing team? This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Employment team within a modern, forward-thinking South West firm.

With a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to national organisations, this role offers the chance to work on high-quality matters while playing a key role in the continued growth of the team.

The Role

  • Advise clients across a wide range of sectors on complex and varied employment law matters
  • Manage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious work, including tribunal litigation, corporate support, and day-to-day advisory matters
  • Take a lead role on matters, with appropriate support on more complex or high-value cases
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support their development
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Play an active role in business development, networking, and profile-raising initiatives


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3+ years' PQE in Employment law
  • Strong technical expertise across a broad range of employment matters
  • Proven experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to client advice
  • Experience in supervising or mentoring junior team members (desirable)
