The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer to join a highly regarded Pensions team within a top-tier UK law firm.

This is a key strategic role supporting a large, national pensions practice with a diverse client base spanning both the public and private sectors. You'll be at the heart of knowledge development, helping to shape best practice, drive technical excellence, and support fee earners across a wide range of pensions matters.

The team advises on:

  • Defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid pension schemes
  • Auto-enrolment and regulatory developments
  • Pensions tax and legislative change
  • Public sector pensions
  • Disputes and pensions litigation

You'll benefit from well-established, market-leading knowledge systems, strong internal collaboration, and a long-standing, well-supported approach to knowledge sharing and professional development.

Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • 6+ years' PQE with strong experience in pensions law
  • A solid background advising on pensions matters and transactions
  • Experience in (or a genuine interest in) PSL/knowledge-focused work
  • Qualification as an SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer

This role would suit an experienced pensions lawyer looking to step into (or further develop within) a knowledge-focused position, while remaining close to high-quality, complex work.

Why Join?

Join a Legal 500-ranked, nationally recognised law firm with a strong reputation in the Bristol market and across the UK. You'll be part of one of the country's largest pensions teams, working alongside leading experts and supporting an impressive client base that includes major corporates, public sector bodies and household names.

You'll also benefit from a flexible, hybrid working model with openness to both full-time and part-time arrangements, alongside a strong focus on employee wellbeing, engagement and progression all whilst enjoying a competitve salary and attractive benefits package.
