Senior Paralegal - Special Educational Needs

Reading (Hybrid - approx. 2 days in office)

Salary dependent on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Paralegal to join a fast-paced and highly regarded Special Educational Needs team based in Reading.

This role will involve supporting on a range of SEN matters, including EHCP appeals and Tribunal work, while also taking responsibility for key aspects of case management. You will work closely with senior fee earners, liaising with clients, local authorities, schools and experts to progress matters efficiently.

Key responsibilities include managing new enquiries, handling client records and financial information, drafting documentation such as Grounds of Appeal and correspondence, preparing bundles and schedules, and coordinating expert assessments. You will also assist with post-registration appeal work and maintain accurate case management records.

The role also offers involvement in wider team activities, including marketing initiatives, writing articles and supporting events.

The successful candidate will have experience working within SEN law in a legal environment and be confident managing tasks independently within set protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.

You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
