Salary: £82,000 to £105,000 (DOE)

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate (10+ PQE) to join its rapidly expanding Catastrophic Injury team in Bristol. This is a senior position within a top ranked practice, offering the opportunity to lead and manage complex, high value catastrophic injury cases involving life changing injuries, sensitive circumstances and matters that often attract national media attention. You will play a key role in the continued growth and reputation of a highly specialised and supportive team.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and leading a high value defendant caseload, including:

  • Catastrophic motor, employer's liability and public liability claims
  • Cases involving severe, life changing injuries and complex quantum issues
  • Detailed analysis of Ogden tables and future loss calculations
  • Handling high profile, sensitive and technically challenging matters
  • Working closely with Partners recognised as market leaders in catastrophic injury
  • Collaborating with major insurers, corporates and London market clients
  • Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to team development
  • Playing an active role in innovation, process improvement and best practice delivery


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a highly experienced defendant personal injury specialist with:

  • 10+ years' experience in catastrophic injury work
  • Proven experience handling high value motor, EL and PL claims
  • Strong technical expertise, including Ogden tables and future losses
  • Experience assisting on large, complex cases within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, commercially minded and solutions focused approach

Experience level is a guideline only - candidates with more or less experience will be considered.
