A well established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Commercial Property Solicitor or FCILEx (3+ PQE) to join its successful and growing Real Estate team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a strong existing client base while contributing to the continued development of a high performing practice.

The Role
You'll be responsible for advising a broad range of national and regional businesses, banks, developers, and landowners on all aspects of commercial property work, including:

  • Sales and purchases
  • Commercial leases
  • Development matters
  • Acting for lenders and borrowers
  • Supporting long standing professional relationships with surveyors, accountants, banks, and other advisers
  • Managing your own caseload with appropriate autonomy
  • Contributing to business development and the wider growth of the team


This role requires attendance in the Exeter office 2-3 days per week, with an initial office based period to support onboarding and integration.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor or legal executive with:

  • 3+ years' post qualification experience in commercial property
  • Strong technical skills across a broad range of real estate matters
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and client care abilities
  • A proactive approach to business development
  • Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
