Real Estate Associate (Residential Development) - Exeter
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Transactional Real Estate team within a Top 100 UK law firm, consistently ranked in the Legal 500 and recognised for its strength across regional and national markets.
As an Associate, you'll play a key role in a market-leading Residential Development team, advising a broad client base including national housebuilders, developers, landowners and registered providers.
This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure to high-quality, complex development work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting on residential development acquisitions and disposals
- Advising on affordable housing transactions for developers and registered providers
- Supporting on strategic land projects, including promotion agreements and option arrangements
- Handling a wide range of development matters such as:
- Overage agreements
- Conditional contracts
- Title due diligence
- Easements and tenancies
- Working closely with colleagues across planning, tax and other specialist teams
You'll benefit from early responsibility, meaningful client exposure and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects.
Candidate Requirements
You will ideally have:
- 2-4+ PQE in Commercial Real Estate
- Experience in residential development, or a strong interest in specialising in this area
- A solid grounding in real estate transactions and development work
- Strong technical skills combined with commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
- A proactive approach with an interest in business development and client growth
