Claims Adjuster - Professional Indemnity
Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)
£30,000 - £35,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Claims Adjuster to join a growing Professional Indemnity team based in Bristol.
This role will suit a candidate with 1-3 years' experience handling Professional Indemnity claims who is looking to develop their career within a collaborative and technically strong environment. You will join a close-knit team, working alongside underwriting colleagues and contributing to a broader national function.
You will handle a caseload of Professional Indemnity claims across a range of professions, including medium to high value and complex matters. Responsibilities will include reviewing and processing claims information, formulating strategies, drafting case summaries and large loss reports, instructing panel solicitors, and managing claims through to resolution.
The role will also involve regular communication with brokers, policyholders and third parties, as well as attending meetings, mediations and internal team discussions. You will be expected to set reserves appropriately, manage claims efficiently and deliver strong outcomes while maintaining professional relationships.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of insurance law and policy interpretation, along with experience managing high volumes of claims. Progress towards (or completion of) ACII qualifications or a relevant degree would be advantageous.
Experience handling claims within sectors such as construction, accountancy, IT or media would be beneficial but is not essential.
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) offering hybrid working, with three days per week in the Bristol office and some travel to other locations as required.
