Dispute Resolution Partner - Bristol
We are seeking an accomplished Dispute Resolution Partner to join a respected national law firm in Bristol. This is a key strategic hire, offering the opportunity to lead, shape and grow the firm's disputes offering across Bristol and the wider South West.
The firm is a Top 100 UK practice with strong Legal 500 rankings and a well established presence across the South West and beyond. Known for its collaborative culture, commercial approach and breadth of expertise, it offers an excellent platform for a Partner looking to build and expand a thriving disputes practice.
THE ROLE
- Lead and develop the Bristol Dispute Resolution practice, driving growth and strengthening market presence
- Manage a varied caseload of complex commercial disputes for a broad client base including large corporates, owner managed businesses and individuals
- Handle high value matters such as partnership disputes, shareholder disputes and company disputes
- Build and maintain strong client and referrer relationships, delivering commercially focused advice
- Play an active role in business development
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the team with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated legal services and cross referrals
- Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers, ensuring high quality output and effective delegation
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ PQE in commercial dispute resolution
- A clear business plan and established client following is essential
- Strong technical expertise across a range of disputes, ideally including partnership, shareholder and company matters
- Proven track record in winning work and developing long term client relationships
- Confident leading on complex, high value matters
- Strong communication and leadership skills
