A leading Top 100 law firm is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Partner to join its expanding Bristol office. This senior appointment is ideal for a lawyer with an established client following and a clear growth strategy. The role offers the opportunity to shape and develop the firm's dispute resolution presence across Bristol and the wider Southwest, working within a high-performing and collaborative national team.

The Role
You'll play a key role in driving the growth of the Dispute Resolution practice, with responsibilities including:

  • Managing and delivering high-quality, profitable work on your own matters
  • Building and deepening relationships with clients and referrers
  • Agreeing clear service scopes, pricing structures, and fee arrangements
  • Providing commercially focused advice across a broad range of disputes
  • Contributing to and implementing the departmental business plan
  • Leading business development initiatives and generating new work
  • Expanding your network of clients, intermediaries, and referrers
  • Developing internal relationships to increase cross-referrals
  • Supervising, coaching, and delegating effectively within the team
  • Understanding departmental KPIs and contributing to performance targets
  • Keeping up to date with legal and sector developments and shaping strategy


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a senior dispute resolution specialist with:

  • A credible business plan and demonstrable client following
  • Experience in partnership, shareholder, and company disputes (desirable)
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills
  • A proven track record of winning new business
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and manage a small team
  • Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service
