A well established national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate/Associate with a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience to join its Employment and HR Services team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in a high profile group action in the Employment Tribunal while helping to grow and shape the firm's claimant offering.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing and developing a varied and impactful caseload of employment matters, including:

  • Leading and managing a complex group action claim from inception to resolution
  • Developing and growing a high performing claimant employment law team
  • Providing strategic legal advice to claimants with a strong focus on client care
  • Supporting respondent work including unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, restructuring, redundancies, settlement agreements, policies and procedures, and contractual issues
  • Delivering seminars/webinars, writing articles and contributing to the firm's marketing and social media presence
  • Supporting the department's business plan through networking, training and relationship building
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Employment and HR Services team


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in employment law
  • Strong track record in claimant litigation, ideally including group or multi party actions
  • Excellent advocacy, negotiation and case management skills
  • Leadership experience, including supervision of junior team members
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Proven ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships
  • A proactive, ambitious and forward thinking approach
