Solicitor - Trusts & Estates - Bath - PQE Dependent
Location: Bath
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £50,000 to £75,000 (DOE)

A respected and purpose driven national law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its highly regarded Trusts and Estates Team, working specifically within the Estate Planning, Trust and Tax teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career within a collaborative, values led environment where people, purpose and professional development are genuinely prioritised.

The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting the Trust and Tax team and managing a varied caseload, including:

  • Supporting the day to day management of the firm's trust caseload
  • Drafting wills and trust documents
  • Preparing and reviewing trust accounts
  • Maintaining strong relationships with trustees and beneficiaries, including those who are vulnerable or require additional support
  • Managing your own caseload effectively and proactively (with supervision where appropriate)
  • Attending clients in the office or at home where required
  • Working collaboratively within the team and wider firm
  • Communicating promptly and effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Maintaining CPD requirements and developing specialist knowledge
  • Upholding firm standards, procedures and core values
  • Attending team meetings and contributing to preparation
  • Supporting marketing and business development activities


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • Experience in estate planning and trust administration/management
  • Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision on straightforward matters
  • Excellent communication skills and strong workload prioritisation abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Confidence taking early responsibility and managing client relationships
  • IT literacy across legal software


Desirable:

  • Experience with the Mental Capacity Act and vulnerable beneficiaries
  • STEP membership (including student membership)
