Employment Solicitor 2-5 PQE - Bangor

We are working with a respected, Legal 500 recognised commercial law firm who are looking to appoint an Employment Solicitor (2-5 PQE) to join their expanding employment team in Bangor. This is a great opportunity to take on a broad, stimulating caseload covering the full range of employment law issues.

You'll be part of a supportive and well established team known for its practical, commercially minded advice to employers, HR professionals and senior individuals. Expect strong client exposure, involvement in complex matters and plenty of scope to develop your expertise.

The Role

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll manage your own files while assisting on more complex matters. The work spans both contentious and advisory employment law, including supporting Employment Tribunal cases from initial instruction through to resolution. You'll be involved in claims such as discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair and constructive dismissal, equal pay, breach of contract and redundancy disputes.

On the advisory side, you'll draft and review employment contracts, service agreements, policies and handbooks, guide clients through disciplinary, grievance, performance and capability procedures, and assist with restructuring and redundancy processes. You'll also advise on TUPE and due diligence for corporate transactions, help with internal investigations, and provide clear, commercial guidance to business owners, HR teams and senior management across a range of sectors.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years' PQE in employment law
  • Experience across both contentious and non contentious matters
  • Strong drafting skills, particularly contracts, policies and settlement agreements
  • Confident supporting Tribunal litigation and managing your own matters
  • Excellent communication skills and a commercial approach
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Professional, calm and capable of handling sensitive issues

Why Join?

  • Competitive salary and a strong benefits package
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, private medical cover, enhanced family leave and more
  • Hybrid working available after probation (up to 2 days from home)
  • Friendly, collaborative and supportive team culture
  • High quality, varied employment work with real opportunities for progression
