Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor / FCILEx - Serious & Catastrophic Injury
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)
A well established national law firm is seeking an experienced Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor or FCILEx to join its Serious & Catastrophic Injury team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high value, complex personal injury matters, with a particular focus on vulnerable road users such as cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians.
Caseloads will include a range of injuries such as fractures, moderate brain injuries, psychiatric injury and complex pain disorders.
This role offers hybrid working, with two days per week in the Bristol office and the remaining days from home.
The Role
You will manage a varied and rewarding caseload, including:
- Running your own mixed caseload of Fast Track and Intermediate Track claimant PI cases
- Handling all aspects of litigation from instruction to settlement
- Communicating effectively with individual clients and insurer clients
- Providing training, case planning and supervision support to trainee case handlers
- Participating in weekly team meetings
- Attending networking events and contributing to business development
- Managing administrative tasks and any additional duties as required
About You
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx with experience running your own personal injury caseload
- Strong litigation experience across all stages
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage urgent matters
- Confident, proactive and able to use initiative
- Strong team player with the ability to manage expectations of internal and external clients
- Computer literate and able to undertake your own typing
Desirable:
- Experience with serious or catastrophic injury claims
- Experience acting for vulnerable road users
Hybrid Working
- Two days per week in the Bristol office, with the remaining days worked from home.
