Family Solicitor - Divorce & Finance - Senior Associate (8+ PQE) - Bristol

A respected national law firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor (Solicitor or FCILEx - authorised litigator) to join its well established Family Department in Bristol. This is a senior appointment suited to a Senior Associate level lawyer with strong expertise in divorce and financial remedy work, including pre nuptial and cohabitation agreements.

The Role
You will manage a high quality caseload of divorce and finance matters, including:

  • Running your own caseload of divorce and financial remedy files
  • Handling pre nuptial and cohabitation agreements
  • Conducting your own advocacy where appropriate
  • Supporting the firm's work creation and online document projects
  • Engaging in networking, marketing and business development
  • Supervising and developing junior case handlers
  • Managing urgent work and meeting tight deadlines

This is a senior role offering autonomy, responsibility and excellent long term career prospects.

About You

Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx (authorised litigator) with 8+ years' PQE
  • Strong experience running your own divorce and finance caseload
  • Excellent advocacy skills
  • Proven billing record and ability to generate work
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Confident handling urgent matters and working under pressure
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach to family law
  • Strong team working skills and experience supervising junior colleagues
  • Able to work independently and use initiative


Desirable:

  • Experience in international divorce and finance matters
  • Resolution Accredited Specialist


Hybrid Working

  • This role is based in the Bristol office with a blend of office and home working.
