Defendant Insurance Senior Associate/Legal Director - Bristol
This highly regarded UK commercial law firm, consistently ranked in Chambers & Partners, Legal 500 and The Times Best Law Firms is expanding its specialist Insurance Litigation offering in Bristol. With a strong national reputation for advising both public and private sector clients, the firm continues to go from strenght to strength.
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Defendant Insurance lawyer to join a top tier Litigation, Advisory & Regulatory team handling high value, complex disputes for insurers, local authorities and major public bodies.
The Role
You'll step into a senior position at Senior Associate or Legal Director level, taking responsibility for:
- A caseload of high value, multi track personal injury and property damage claims
- Coverage disputes for insurer clients
- Running matters with autonomy while delegating effectively to junior colleagues
- Supervising, supporting and developing junior team members
- Working closely with partners and colleagues across all four offices
Candidate Requirements
You will bring:
- Strong experience defending high value personal injury and property damage claims
- Experience acting for insurers, including coverage work
- Confidence supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support business development
- Disease claims experience is helpful but not essential
