Solicitor / Legal Executive - Family - Exeter - PQE Flexible
Location: Exeter
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (36.25 hours per week)
Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
A well established regional law firm is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its busy Family & Matrimonial department. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload while developing your career within a supportive, client focused team.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload across a broad range of family law matters, including:
- Divorce and civil partnership matters
- Separation and cohabitation issues
- Family finance work
- Children matters (private law)
- Delivering exceptional client care
- Ensuring compliance with internal risk management procedures
- Keeping up to date with legal developments
- Building and maintaining professional networks and referrers
- Supporting departmental marketing and client relationship initiatives
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive who can demonstrate:
- Experience in family law (divorce, finance, children, separation, cohabitation)
- Strong client care skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and reliably
- Good organisational and IT skills
- A positive, team focused attitude
- Knowledge of the legal aid system (desirable but not essential)
