Solicitor / Legal Executive - Family - Exeter - PQE Flexible
Location: Exeter
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (36.25 hours per week)
Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)

A well established regional law firm is seeking a bright and enthusiastic Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its busy Family & Matrimonial department. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload while developing your career within a supportive, client focused team.

The Role
You will manage your own caseload across a broad range of family law matters, including:

  • Divorce and civil partnership matters
  • Separation and cohabitation issues
  • Family finance work
  • Children matters (private law)
  • Delivering exceptional client care
  • Ensuring compliance with internal risk management procedures
  • Keeping up to date with legal developments
  • Building and maintaining professional networks and referrers
  • Supporting departmental marketing and client relationship initiatives


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in family law (divorce, finance, children, separation, cohabitation)
  • Strong client care skills and a proactive approach
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and reliably
  • Good organisational and IT skills
  • A positive, team focused attitude
  • Knowledge of the legal aid system (desirable but not essential)
