Associate / Solicitor - Construction - Poundbury

Salary: £45,000 - £85,000 (depending on experience)

A respected regional law firm is seeking a Construction Associate/Solicitor to join its Construction team in Poundbury. The team advises on contentious and non contentious construction matters, supporting contractors, developers, landowners and professional advisers. This role focuses primarily on contentious construction work, with strong supervision and development opportunities.

The Role

  • Advising on construction disputes, adjudication, mediation and court proceedings
  • Providing strategic advice as disputes arise
  • Supporting non contentious construction matters where needed
  • Working with a broad client base including developers, contractors and consultants
  • Assisting clients with contractual structures and risk management
  • Managing your own caseload with guidance from the Head of Team
  • Contributing to a collaborative, friendly team across both offices


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE or above)
  • Litigation experience from training or post qualification
  • Interest in developing a construction law specialism
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Client focused approach and strong attention to detail
  • Enjoys working in a close knit, supportive team environment

Construction experience is not required - full training and support will be provided.
