Associate / Solicitor - Construction - Bournemouth

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience)

A well regarded regional law firm is seeking a Construction Associate/Solicitor to join its Construction team in Bournemouth. The team advises on both contentious and non contentious construction matters, acting for contractors, developers, landowners and professional advisers. This role has a particular focus on contentious construction disputes, with excellent training and support.

The Role

  • Advising on construction disputes, adjudication, mediation and court proceedings
  • Providing strategic advice as disputes arise
  • Supporting non contentious construction matters where required
  • Working with contractors, developers, landowners and consultants
  • Assisting clients with contractual structures and risk management
  • Managing your own caseload with close supervision from the Head of Team
  • Delivering excellent client service within a collaborative team environment


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE or above)
  • Litigation experience from training or post qualification
  • Genuine interest in developing a construction specialism
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, motivated approach
  • Commitment to excellent client service
  • Enjoys working as part of a close knit, supportive team

Previous construction experience is not essential - enthusiasm and litigation exposure are what matter most.
