Location: Bristol (hybrid working)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time (flexible working)
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)

A leading national law firm is seeking a Technology & Data Protection Associate (2+ PQE) to join its Commercial team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, complex and high profile matters across technology, data protection, cybersecurity and commercial contracts.

The Role

• Advise national and regional clients, including household names and high growth businesses
• Support technology suppliers and scale ups launching AI, SaaS and digital products
• Draft and negotiate complex technology contracts (cloud, outsourcing, licensing)
• Work on data protection compliance, DPIAs, DSARs, data transfers and cybersecurity projects
• Contribute to delivery of the firm's award winning data breach readiness product
• Advise on strategic data use, monetisation and marketing
• Support corporate and private equity transactions on tech/data aspects
• Collaborate with City and US firms on major deals

Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years' PQE in Commercial / Technology / Data Protection
• Strong drafting skills and experience across a range of commercial matters
• Pragmatic, solutions focused approach
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Interest in business development and innovation
