The Role


Are you a passionate Family Lawyer looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference?

A long established, multi office South West law firm and one of the region's largest, with a strong reputation for high quality legal services across both private client and commercial work is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its thriving Exmouth team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy, supportive department with a varied caseload and real scope to grow.

Your work will include:

  • Divorce, separation and civil partnership matters
  • Financial settlements and cohabitation issues
  • Children law cases
  • Legal aid work (experience helpful but not essential)
  • Day to day client contact and ongoing case management


This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of a close knit, collaborative team while maintaining autonomy over their own caseload.

Candidate Requirements
We're looking for someone who is confident, capable and committed to delivering exceptional client care.

You will bring:

  • Solicitor, CILEx or 5+ years' experience managing your own family law caseload
  • Strong background across a broad range of family matters
  • Excellent communication skills and a client centred approach
  • Ability to manage a busy workload with accuracy and confidence
  • Strong organisational skills and familiarity with case management systems
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a genuine passion for family law
  • Willingness to support, mentor and help develop junior colleagues
