The firm is well ranked, well resourced and recognised for delivering high quality, complex work across the UK.

You'll manage a stimulating caseload of complex claimant and defendant contractual disputes, including commercial and consumer contract claims, misrepresentation, professional negligence, and building related matters. Work comes from both LEI and private instruction, offering real variety and depth.

Alongside running your own caseload, you'll also supervise a small group of junior case handlers, helping shape their development and contributing to the team's continued success.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of case strategy and day to day client relationships
  • Supervising and mentoring junior case handlers, including strategic guidance and development planning
  • Handling costs issues, including pre proceedings and detailed assessment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, business partners and clients
  • Contributing to team training, knowledge sharing and best practice

This role suits someone who thrives on technical challenge, autonomy and variety.

You will bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial and consumer contract disputes
  • Demonstrable experience applying legal principles to complex, multi issue cases
  • Confidence taking full responsibility for case strategy and progression
  • Experience supervising junior team members and supporting their development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of clients and partners
  • Experience dealing with costs issues, including detailed assessment

Desirable:

  • Experience working with insurance funded clients
  • Exposure to business development activities

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEx or equivalent experience.

Why Join?
You'll be joining a national firm with a strong reputation for quality, consistency and client service. The firm is known for its supportive culture, modern working practices and commitment to developing its people. Expect high quality work, genuine autonomy and a team that values collaboration.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent annual leave and wellbeing support
  • Health cash plan, lifestyle and gym benefits
