Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor / FCILEx - Bristol
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (hybrid working)
Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)

A well established national law firm is seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its Serious and Catastrophic Injury team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high quality claimant personal injury matters, with a particular focus on vulnerable road users including cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians.

The Role
You'll manage a varied caseload within the Serious and Catastrophic Injury team, handling claims involving fractures, moderate brain injuries, psychiatric injury and pain disorders. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of Fast Track and Intermediate Track matters
  • Running cases independently and in line with agreed service standards
  • Communicating effectively with individual clients and insurer clients
  • Training, case planning and supporting trainee case handlers as required
  • Participating in weekly team meetings
  • Attending networking events and contributing to business development
  • Handling administrative tasks and other duties as required
  • Working two days per week from the Bristol office, with home working on remaining days


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an experienced personal injury practitioner with:

  • Previous experience managing their own caseload
  • Strong litigation experience across all stages of the claims process
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations effectively
  • A proactive, common sense approach and strong team ethos
  • Good IT skills, including the ability to undertake your own typing
