Criminal Solicitor - South Wales
Location: South Wales

Salary: £30,000 to £55,000 (negotiable depending on experience; higher end for Duty Solicitors)

A well established and growing law firm in South Wales is seeking a Criminal Solicitor to join its expanding criminal defence team. This is an exciting opportunity with genuine scope to contribute to the development of both the legal aid and private criminal defence offering.

The Role
You'll play a key role within the criminal defence team, handling a varied and busy caseload. Responsibilities include:

  • Attending the Magistrates' Court, Crown Court and police station
  • Representing clients across a broad range of criminal matters
  • Managing both legal aid and privately funded cases
  • Working flexibly as part of a supportive and ambitious team
  • Providing high quality advocacy and client care


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • Criminal law experience and strong advocacy skills
  • Duty Solicitor status (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied caseload
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, organised and committed approach
  • Willingness to contribute to a growing and evolving team
