Associate/ Senior associate or Partner 5+ PQE Employment Lawyer - Dorset - Hybrid

A leading regional law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join its expanding Dorset team. This senior level role is ideal for someone who can manage their own caseload independently and is interested in helping grow and develop the firm's Employment Law offering. The position is suitable for candidates at Associate, Senior Associate or Partner level.
The Role
You will work within the Corporate & Commercial team, alongside another Employment Lawyer, managing a broad mix of contentious and non contentious employment matters. Typical work includes:
- Drafting employment contracts, policies and staff handbooks
- Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination and workplace disputes
- HR advisory work including disciplinaries, grievances and redundancies
- Advising on employment law aspects of corporate transactions
- TUPE advice on business transfers
- HR/employee due diligence on acquisitions
- Delivering employment law training to clients
- Representing clients in Employment Tribunal matters
This is a key strategic hire, with the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Employment Law team in Dorset.
About You
You will be:
- A qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in Employment Law
- Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Experienced across both contentious and non contentious employment matters
- Skilled in drafting, negotiation and client advisory work
- Familiar with the Employment Tribunal process
- Ideally experienced in supervising junior lawyers and support staff
- Commercially aware, proactive and able to build strong client relationships
- Interested in long term progression, including potential partnership
