A well established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor / Legal Executive to join its expanding team in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client focused individual to manage a varied caseload across all core areas of family law, while contributing to a supportive and forward thinking practice.

About the Role
You will handle a broad range of family matters, providing high quality legal advice and maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of divorce and separation matters
  • Advising on Pre Nups, Post Nups, Cohabitation and Separation Agreements
  • Handling financial remedy proceedings and settlements
  • Managing private and public law children matters
  • Providing clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court applications
  • Conducting negotiations and representing clients where appropriate
  • Attending court hearings and client meetings
  • Supporting business development and maintaining professional relationships


About You
The ideal candidate will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
  • Ideally 2+ years' PQE in family law (all levels considered)
  • Experienced in divorce, finance, and children matters
  • An excellent communicator with strong client care skills
  • Confident managing your own caseload independently
  • Proactive, organised, and commercially aware
  • Resolution / Law Society Accredited, or willing to work towards accreditation
