Solicitor / Legal Executive - Clinical Negligence - Gloucester - 1-2 Years PQE
Location: Gloucester (Hybrid or Fully Remote Options)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience)

A well established and growing Clinical Negligence team is seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 1-2 years' PQE. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload, work closely with experienced specialists, and contribute to a supportive, high performing department.

The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of Clinical Negligence matters from initial instruction through to settlement, including:

  • Conducting initial consultations and triaging new enquiries
  • Advising and supporting clients throughout their claims
  • Reviewing and analysing medical records and expert evidence
  • Preparing chronologies, witness statements, Letters of Claim and court documents
  • Instructing and liaising with medical experts and counsel
  • Managing all aspects of the pre action protocol and litigated cases under the CPR
  • Advising on funding options including CFAs, ATE policies and client care documentation
  • Negotiating with defendants and insurers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high standard of service


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor or Legal Executive with:

  • 1-2 years' PQE in Clinical Negligence, or a strong litigation background with a desire to specialise
  • Excellent analytical, drafting and case management skills
  • Strong communication and client care abilities
  • Confidence managing a varied caseload independently
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team
