Private Client Solicitor - Swansea

A well established commercial law firm with a strong reputation in Private Client work is looking for a Solicitor to join its growing team in Swansea. The firm is known for its friendly, inclusive culture, high quality work and long standing relationships with high net worth individuals, business owners and trustees.

The Role
You'll manage a varied and interesting caseload covering the full spectrum of private client matters, with direct client contact from day one and strong support from senior lawyers. Work will include:

  • Drafting wills, codicils and letters of wishes
  • Preparing LPAs and handling Court of Protection applications
  • Estate administration, probate applications and inheritance tax reporting
  • Trust creation, administration and related tax considerations
  • Lifetime and succession planning, including IHT and CGT
  • Advising on domicile, residence and cross border succession issues


You'll also contribute to business development, support seminars and training, and help produce articles.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 2+ years' PQE in Private Client . Newly qualified candidates with a strong private client seat and/or paralegal experience are welcome to apply
  • Solid experience in wills, probate and LPAs; exposure to trusts and tax is an advantage
  • Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Empathetic, professional client manner with strong communication skills
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines
  • Team focused, collaborative and committed to high client care standards
  • STEP or Lifetime Lawyer accreditation (or willingness to work towards it)
