Clean Energy Senior Associate / Managing Associate (5-7 PQE) - Bristol
A top 100 national law firm is expanding its Clean Energy practice and is looking for an experienced lawyer to join its busy, high profile national team. This is a great opportunity to work at the forefront of the clean energy sector alongside leading specialists across the UK.
The Role
Advise on a wide range of clean energy matters including:
- PPAs, battery optimisation and tolling contracts
- Biogas offtake arrangements
- Clean energy project development, acquisitions and disposals
- CfDs, Capacity Market, REGOs and other low carbon support regimes
- Energy supply arrangements
- Ofgem licensing and regulatory issues
- Grid connection, IDNOs and private wire arrangements
- Heat networks and heat supply/offtake contracts
Candidate Requirements
- 5-7 years' PQE with strong commercial, projects or regulatory experience in the clean energy sector.
- Applications also welcome from transactional lawyers with focused clean energy experience.
- Familiarity with technologies such as solar, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy from waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging or district heating is an advantage.
- Confident managing complex matters and working collaboratively across teams.
- Commercially minded, proactive and keen to contribute to a growing national practice.
