A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior or Managing Associate to join its market leading Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Bristol. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with a Legal 500 recognised partner within a highly ranked practice, taking on a specialist role with a strong focus on pensions litigation.

The Role
As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality commercial dispute resolution services, with a particular emphasis on pensions litigation. Your responsibilities will include:
Core Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, including litigation, arbitration and mediation
- Providing specialist pensions litigation support, including professional negligence, rectification and complex member complaints
- Working closely with partners and colleagues across the national Commercial Dispute Resolution and Pensions teams
- Managing your own portfolio of disputes with partner oversight where required
- Leading on business development initiatives, including pitches, tenders and client training
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior team members
This is a senior role with genuine influence, offering the opportunity to shape the team's pensions litigation capability and contribute to its national growth.
Candidate Requirements
This role is ideal for a Senior or Managing Associate who can demonstrate:
- A minimum of 3 years' PQE in commercial dispute resolution
- Strong technical ability and a genuine interest in commercial litigation
- Ideally, experience in pensions disputes, including negligence, rectification and member complaints
- Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, commercially aware mindset with enthusiasm for business development
- The ability to build long standing client relationships and understand client needs
- A collaborative approach and experience supervising junior lawyers (desirable)
- Drive, ambition and a commitment to contributing to the team's national growth
The Team
The Commercial Dispute Resolution team advises a wide range of clients including PLCs, public bodies, international companies, owner managed businesses and non profit organisations. The team regularly handles:
- High value contractual disputes
- Negligence claims
- Pensions disputes
- Contractual interpretation matters
- Retention of title disputes
- Sale of goods and services disputes
- Misrepresentation claims
- Debt and insolvency related issues
The team is known for delivering practical, commercial solutions and for its expertise in mediation, arbitration and early stage dispute management.
