Clinical Negligence Solicitor - Hertfordshire / Hybrid Working
A rare in-house position has become available for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a leading medical trade association based in Hertfordshire.
Using your knowledge of defendant clinical negligence, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and counsel to members and supporting the Senior Legal Counsel. You will be the interface between the organisation and clients / policy holders.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to members and policy holders
- Correspond with members/policy holders, Claimants, Solicitors, Loss Adjusters, medical and other experts and insurers
- Assess claims
- Investigate and communicate decisions on liability
- Collate medical evidence
- Assess compensation
- Formulate offers
- Negotiate settlement
- Assess and negotiate costs
About you
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 1 years' PQE
- Experience dealing and litigating personal injury and clinical negligence claims
- Expert knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and pre-action protocols
- Expert professional liability and public indemnity knowledge
- Employers liability knowledge would be advantageous
This is an ideal position for a clinical negligence solicitor to make the move from private practice into an in-house role. You will have access to rewarding and interesting work without the billing targets.
Hybrid working available (1 day / week in the office).
