Partner / Senior Associate - Employment - Bristol - 7+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol

Salary: £65,000 - £100,000 (depending on level, experience)
A leading UK law firm is seeking a Partner or Senior Associate to join its established Employment team in Bristol. This is a strategic growth role offering the opportunity to develop and expand the firm's employment presence across the Bristol market and wider South West region. It is ideal for an established Partner with a following, or a Senior Associate/Director looking to build a strong business case for future partnership.
The Role
You'll take on a broad and strategic position within the Employment team, including:
- Managing your own caseload efficiently and profitably
- Building strong relationships with clients and referrers
- Agreeing clear scopes of work, pricing structures and service delivery plans
- Providing commercially focused employment advice across a range of sectors
- Contributing to departmental business planning and BD strategy
- Expanding your network of clients, intermediaries and referrers
- Supporting partners in targeting and winning new business
- Developing internal networks to increase cross-referrals
- Supervising, coaching and delegating work to junior team members
- Understanding departmental KPIs and contributing to performance targets
- Keeping up to date with legal and sector developments and feeding into strategy
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an experienced employment lawyer with:
- 7+ years PQE
- A clear business plan for growing the Bristol employment offering
- Experience in Employment Tribunal litigation (desirable)
- Strong client management and communication skills
- Proven business development success and ability to win new work
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
- A collaborative, commercially minded approach
- A following is beneficial for Partner-level applicants but not essential for Senior Associate candidates.
