A leading UK law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Partner to join its highly regarded, Tier 1 ranked IP practice. The team advises national and international clients on the full spectrum of IP rights, including disputes, transactional matters, trade mark and design prosecution, and strategic advisory work. The Role
As a Partner within the IP team, you will:
- Lead on complex IP disputes across all core IP rights
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of IP agreements, including assignments, licences, confidentiality agreements and R&D agreements
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across UK offices and with a large network of US based IP specialists
- Drive business development initiatives and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice
- Mentor, coach and develop junior lawyers, supporting their long term career progression
- Champion innovation, process improvement and modern legal service delivery
You will work alongside senior leadership to further enhance the firm's national and international IP capabilities.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to an experienced IP Partner who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record of building and sustaining a UK IP practice
- Strong experience in IP disputes and transactional IP work
- Deep sector and market understanding, with insight into emerging trends
- Commercial acumen and an ability to prioritise revenue and growth opportunities
- A collaborative leadership style, with experience coaching and developing teams
- A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
- A strong external profile as a recognised leader in the IP field
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
