Legal Secretary - Property Department (Chichester)

Salary: Competitive + benefits

Full‑time, office‑based with hybrid flexibility

A great opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well‑established, friendly, and commercially successful firm with a strong reputation for excellent client care. You'll be part of a close‑knit Property team covering both Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property work, supporting fee‑earners across the department.

What the role involves

You'll provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support, helping the team deliver a smooth, efficient service. The role requires someone proactive, organised, and confident working in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.

Responsibilities include

  • Supporting fee‑earners across all areas of the Property Department
  • Managing a range of secretarial and administrative tasks
  • Working efficiently in a paper‑lite/paperless environment
  • Ensuring files remain compliant with internal procedures and Lexcel standards
  • Liaising professionally with clients and third parties
  • Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under pressure

What they're looking for

  • Previous experience in a Property Department (Residential or Commercial)
  • Strong secretarial, administrative, and IT skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work independently
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Experience working within a law firm
  • A team‑oriented approach with high levels of organisation and accuracy
