Senior Associate - Residential Property - Bath (Hybrid) - 5+ Years PQE

Salary: £50,000-£75,000 (dependent on experience)

A respected national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor to join its Real Estate team in Bath. This role offers the opportunity to handle high quality work, advise High Net Worth clients, and contribute to the strategic development of a growing and purpose driven department.

The Role
You will manage a varied and high quality residential caseload from instruction to completion, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Re mortgages, transfers of equity, and shared ownership matters
  • Complex and high value transactions involving High Net Worth clients, Listed Buildings, Rural and Bespoke Properties
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers, and other third parties
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Conducting legal research and staying updated on changes in property law
  • Monitoring key financial metrics including WIP, disbursements, and matter profitability
  • Handling negotiations and resolving legal issues throughout the conveyancing process
  • Supervising and supporting junior team members where required
  • Contributing to departmental growth, efficiency, and strategic development
  • Participating in marketing, networking, and business development activities
  • Using AI tools to enhance efficiency and client service


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with:

  • Strong experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
  • Proven experience working with High Net Worth clients and complex property matters
  • Solid knowledge of conveyancing processes, property law, and relevant legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
  • IT proficiency, including case management systems and legal research tools
  • A track record in marketing, networking, and maintaining an online professional presence
  • Experience supervising or delegating work (desirable)
  • A following (highly desirable)
