A national law firm with a strong reputation in the built environment sector is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Real Estate (Regeneration) team in Cardiff. The team advises public bodies and developers on major regeneration schemes across the UK, including housing led regeneration, town centre redevelopment, infrastructure and renewable energy projects. This role offers the chance to work on high profile, impactful projects that shape communities and support long term development.
The Role
You will work on a broad range of regeneration and redevelopment matters, collaborating closely with colleagues across planning, environmental, procurement and public law. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on complex regeneration projects to a high technical standard
- Managing your own caseload, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing and development work
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standard
- Undertaking legal research and staying up to date with relevant developments
- Supporting business development through client training, industry events and tender/bid contributions
- Working collaboratively across departments to deliver large scale, multi disciplinary projects
This role offers significant variety, exposure to major national schemes and the opportunity to develop a strong profile within the regeneration sector.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a real estate lawyer with:
- 5+ years' PQE in real estate, ideally with regeneration, development or major projects experience
- Strong technical skills and the ability to provide clear, commercial advice
- Confidence managing a varied and complex caseload
- Excellent communication and relationship building abilities
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for cross team working
- Interest in business development and contributing to the growth of the practice
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
