Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 (DOE)

A well established and fast growing law firm is seeking a Property Litigation Solicitor (NQ-1 PQE) to join its expanding and highly regarded Property Litigation team in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high quality, high value disputes from the outset, supporting a broad client base including commercial developers, housebuilders, corporate occupiers, investors, lenders and local authorities.

The Role
You will work closely with Partners and senior fee earners across a wide range of contentious property matters, gaining early responsibility and direct client exposure. The team handles a diverse caseload, including:

  • Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
  • Building Safety Act matters
  • Real property disputes (rights of way, adverse possession, boundary issues, harassment)
  • Commercial and residential service charge disputes
  • Property insolvency and secured recoveries


You will have the opportunity to manage your own matters, develop a broad skillset quickly, and progress within a supportive, friendly and ambitious team.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a newly qualified solicitor or trainee approaching qualification with:

  • Experience in property litigation during a training contract or NQ role
  • Exposure to both residential and commercial disputes (advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships
  • Good judgement, empathy and the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
  • Strong organisational skills and resilience under pressure
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, thorough approach
  • Motivation to take early responsibility and deliver excellent client outcomes
