Non-Contentious Construction Associate - Bristol

Chadwick Nott have been instructed by a top 100 national law firm that continues to grow its presence across the UK. As part of this expansion, their market leading non contentious Construction team is seeking an Associate to join their Bristol office.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the most respected non contentious construction practices in the country. The team advises on major development and regeneration schemes, high rise and mixed use projects, ESG driven redevelopment, innovative procurement models, and the evolving building safety landscape. They also have a standout reputation for their work on data centres and digital infrastructure projects, acting for developers, operators and institutional investors on technically complex, high value schemes.

You will work closely with recognised experts in the field, providing strategic, commercially focused advice across the full lifecycle of construction and real estate development matters. The work will include negotiating construction contracts (including JCT amendments), professional appointments and warranties, advising on development agreements, and delivering construction due diligence on significant real estate transactions. You'll also support clients in managing construction risk, navigating legislative change and ensuring projects meet commercial, technical and sustainability objectives.

About You
The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Around 1-2 years' PQE gained at a leading international, national or strong regional firm
  • Solid non contentious construction experience within the development sector
  • Strong drafting skills, excellent communication and the confidence to advise clients clearly and pragmatically
  • The ability to manage a varied, high quality workload with independence and attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a high performing, "one team" culture
