Senior Associate - Serious Injury - Cardiff - 3+ PQE
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: £60,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Serious Injury Senior Associate (3+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Serious Injury team in Cardiff. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on complex, life changing injury claims within an award winning, multidisciplinary department known for its claimant focused approach and strong rehabilitation ethos.

The Role
You will act on behalf of clients who have suffered catastrophic and life altering injuries, including:

  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Amputations
  • Polytrauma
  • Fatal accident claims on behalf of dependants and estates


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a complex caseload of high value serious injury matters
  • Working closely with clients, families and healthcare professionals
  • Ensuring clients receive the best possible rehabilitation and long term support
  • Liaising with medical experts, case managers and counsel
  • Pursuing claims arising from road traffic collisions, workplace incidents and assaults
  • Applying the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant protocols effectively
  • Supporting business development and charity related initiatives
  • Collaborating with partners and colleagues while managing your own files proactively


Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act is beneficial but not essential - full training will be provided.

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a motivated and compassionate lawyer with:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor
  • 3+ years' PQE in serious or complex personal injury litigation
  • Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Excellent technical ability and attention to detail
  • High level organisational skills
  • A personable, confident and client centred approach
  • Enthusiasm for networking, business development and charity engagement
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a specialist team
