A respected law firm is seeking a confident and highly motivated Employment Associate with 3-6 years' post-qualification experience to join its award-winning Employment team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-quality, high-value matters in a collaborative and supportive environment, advising clients across the public and private sectors, locally, nationally, and internationally.
The Role
You'll be responsible for advising a wide range of clients, including employers and senior employees/executives, on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:
- Complex employment issues and disputes
- Day-to-day HR advisory work across all sectors
- Employment support on corporate transactions
- Running Employment Tribunal and County Court/Restrictive Covenant litigation files
- Taking ownership of your own caseload from the outset
- Working closely with senior members of the team on a broad spectrum of employment work
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 3-6 years PQE in employment law
- Solid experience advising on employment law matters, ideally with an employer-focused practice
- Hands-on experience managing Employment Tribunal and County Court litigation files
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to gain client confidence and handle matters with empathy and professionalism
- Resilience when dealing with demanding situations and confidence working under pressure
- Commercial judgement to achieve the best outcomes for clients
- Ability to build strong, long-lasting client relationships
